I bump heads with my wife over this issue all the time. 
She wants no swearing around our kid at all. I obviously have an extremely different perspective.
In the end, no matter what side you're on in this discussion and how you choose to approach the issue, I think we can agree that "context is king" is the lesson we should hammer into their brains when the time comes to explain using these, or any, words. Yah' know?
