I like to eat before I play pinball. I have noticed if I eat cereal i play great. I ate about 20 KFC chicken nuggets tonight and didn’t want to play anymore. Do you eat before you play pinball? Could eating be a key ingredient in your pinball performance/tournament play?

Intriguing.. guess I need to try switching to morning pinball instead of evening cocktail pinball, sounds like my scores could improve!

Bruce Springsteen never eats before a show.
To be at his best for four hours, he can't have blood/resources diverted to his stomach.
For you, I suggest a square meal an hour or two before you play and then no food at all at- and during game time.
Coffee or RedBull will sharpen your reflexes.

Sugar rush?

Get one of those running belts for marathon runners and pack it with granola bars, gel packs, and Gatorade. Play for 4 hours without stopping. Let me know how it goes.

It completely depends on the person. Whatever makes you comfortable and what your body is used to is good.

Cereal before playing, not a bad idea.

If I ate that I wouldn't want to live anymore.

Ha! You can work around that with precise chomping. Careless chomping does result in a damage to the roof of one’s mouth.

Used to top that one off with more sugar! Even the left over milk had a nice kick to it.

Oooh. I loved some count chocula when I was a kid.

Good thinking mom.. load up me on sugar and send me to school so I could be told to sit down and shutup for hours.

Oh, and then there was the half grapefruit with at least 2 tablespoons of sugar on top. Damn that was good!

When they were fresh. For some reason Long Island got rock hard puffs. Maybe it was storage.
Cocoa Puffs always tasted great out of state, at hotels for me.

That and the Captain!

and getting this!

Ever mix cereals together? I have a big Tupperware that holds 2-3 boxes of cereal (or one family size box). Usually I’ll mix together a box of life and corn bran, or or life and oatmeal crisp. Also love golden Graham’s

Gotta eat lucky charms to help the game out from the dreadful out lanes. Little luck never hurt anyone!

I just started doing that about 5 years ago when I saw my stepson do it.

I'm 56 and never once in my life did it ever occur to me to mix 2 cereals together.

#38 71 days ago

Malted barley, hops, and yeast are my cereal of choice.

#39 71 days ago

What a silly f'ing question, of course it makes you play better ! I'm in, love the topic

My sweet spot is around four bowls of cereal but after that my games start getting worse. It really falls off after ten bowls.

#43 71 days ago

Today’s sugar rush is at McDonald’s. A simple order of pancakes with extra syrup, extra butter and a large Coke! It’ll fix you up quickly.

Now we all know why there’s all that crop dusting at the shows, everyone has their hotel breakfast which consists of imitation scramble eggs and the bag cereal they have in the bins!
