Why is this so hard to find?
Do you have any calipers? Still needing the length, width, height, and thickness. I still think I have the ability to make these...
I was looking for a spare I thought I had to measure for you. I threw my back out so getting under the playfield and pulling mine isn't an option for a few days but I will do it if needed.
I would be potentially interested in one of these as well. Mine isn't destroyed but it has been bashed pretty bad and has some nasty marks all over it. Let me know how you make out.
Derek
I have an extra one and calipers. I won't have a chance to get measurements until tomorrow at the earliest.
Measurements with calipers, pictures with ruler for reference
Width - 50.5 mm
Height - 30mm
Depth - 7mm (at top of target, depth gradually decreases to 1.5 mm at bottom of target)
Plastic Thickness - 1.5mm
Hole - 6mm diameter
Hole position - 8mm from top of target to top of hole, 16mm from bottom of target to bottom of hole, 22mm from edge of hole to sides (evenly spaced horizontally)
Nubs on back - 4mm tall, 1.5mm wide, 1.5mm thick, middle of nub to outside edge of target 19mm, 13mm in-between nubs100_0870.JPG

It's my understanding that the taper makes a big difference here. Supposedly the plain target can cause the ball to launch upward into the Death Star, thereby breaking another no longer available plastic.
To the original poster, I have a broken target as well so if you need anything please let me know.
The plastic part that holds to the rivet is the part that broke. Other than using gorilla glue, not much else I can do with it. I'll try a flat target and see how it works.

Sounds good.
Well, I swapped in a replacement target I found at Pinball Life:

The target is about 1/16th of an inch too tall so I sanded it down and it seems to be a suitable replacement for the short term. I didn't seem to get any more air balls or anything hitting the plastics on the sides of the death star.
Thanks williams! I use to live in the 'boro! I still have a brother and a few very close friends there
TomDWI, what do you need to do that type of rivit? If all goes well I'll need to know how to do that.
That looks good Eric. Is it the same width as the original?
No, the new target is shallower than the original, but functional.
If you need to do riveting, check this out: http://www.pinrestore.com/Riveting.html
If anyone is still looking. Just noticed Pinball Wizard has this target newly listed for $19 on their site.
