If I had access to NOS or reproduction plastics, I could do this.

Quoted from Tsskinne:I'll contact Indypinhead, we are close to each other anyway.
I think we can make this happen...
I'd like to get a dozen people lined up to make this happen. A lot of work is involved in designing/machining these.
Guys....keep in mind I do my best to keep costs down. The cost of polycarbonate is a LOT more than PETG. I also machine these on a cnc machining center. Fixtures and hold-down cap are required.
The time involved from beginning, (measuring the existing plastics), running prototypes to ensure proper geometry, transferring each individual shape into a production run set-up, designing/machining the fixtures/hold down caps, then lastly, to the end, (running a production run). This will take me all of 5 full day's time.
It's NOT as simple as it looks.
Quoted from Syco54645:I am in pending price however do not want to spend $100 on a set of protectors.
Still would be nice to swap in all of my new plastics.
Why use polycarb instead of petg?
My most expensive protector set, to date, is $62, shipped.
Polycarbonate is stronger than PETG...
If I had a laser cutter, I'd be cutting PETG like all the other guys...much cheaper, and a faster cutting process.
I've been making protectors for all of my pins over the years. Just started selling them.
Was hoping to have the protectors available this weekend, but I might have to delay that a doy or 2. Just got the call from the freight company. I'm picking up my GBLE in 1 hour. The terminal is 15 minutes from me.
I have all the materials now to run the 1st batch of protectors.
Hope everyone understands the delay...
Quoted from Chosen_S:I only understand if you play GBLE for 24 hours straight
I'm not sure I'll last that long....
Working on long island #2 already...on an empty stomach ...LOL
Quoted from mwong168:Congrats on GBLE and just in time for the long 4th of July weekend too

I'll be in the shop working on protectors all weekend.
Have to get this off my plate. I have some "real" work in the machine shop that I have to tend to.
Quoted from Chosen_S:I think the sales numbers from these protectors is going to pay for all of his GBLE mods -
LOL
I'm designing/machining my own GB mods....
I put in another full day today....plan on doing the same tomorrow.
Hoping to have this first batch done on Monday.
Quoted from Crispin:Damn I'm running out of time. Would love to install a set of these before bringing Congo to Pintastic this Thursday. Please let me know the moment they're available.
I'll post it here...
I have the first batch of protectors machined. The protectors are cnc machined out of 1/16 polycarbonate.
This protector kit is a 10 piece set.
Cost...$58 shipped, continental US
This first run is a limited quantity. It will probably be at least a month before I can run another batch. I'm busy working on some other pinball mods/protectors.
PM me, if interested.
