Hello, my Aladdin’ Castle doesn’t award an extra ball when the A B C D lanes have all been rolled over. A B C D lane lights all go out and coresponding star roll over lights light up but no extra ball is awarded. I’ve had this machine in storage and recently started getting it up and running again. I’ve fixed dozens of other issues on it. I have everything else working as it should.
NOTE: Extra ball feature was working then I rolled the ball through the Aladdin’ Alley several times to get the special to light up. Special lit up and It awarded a game when I rolled the ball through the with special light lit as it should. After this now the machine will not award an extra ball. This is the last item I need to fix to have the game operating 100%. Can anyone help me out ?

Thanks

Does a new ball really make a difference ? I have an old Aladdin’s Castle that was in storage for several years and I recently got it up and running. The machine is 45 years old. It probably has the original ball. Would a new ball make any difference or are they good forever ?

if the ball has any visible imperfections (rust, pitting, scuffs etc.) replace it. It costs 1 dollar.

An old ball looks like ass and can wear your playfield as well as playing slower.

Ball doesn’t really look all f’d up. It was the playing faster aspect I was wondering about. What’s the scoop on the “ninja ball”” versus a standard chrome ball ?

The ball is the very first thing I change. A worn ball becomes a rolling sander that will slowly wear your playfield. I mean they're cheap enough. I change mine out every six months or so. You will see and feel the difference. Plus a new ball looks so much better!

I hadn't heard of them til now. "Considered the shiniest and most finely polished pinball in the world, the Ninja is a solid chrome standard size/weight pinball that has been hardened and shined to an unprecedented mirror finish. The Ninja ball is not only the shiniest but will last longer before going dull than any other ball.

A must-have for non-magnetic games and works fine in some games with magnets (see below)"

At $1.50/ea. it's worth a try.
