Quoted from whona:I replaced the motor assembly that raises/lowers the Time Expander about a year ago, and recently the unit got jittery and failed.
I took the gearbox apart and found one of the gears (the one closest to the shaft that exits the gearbox) had its teeth stripped off.
Rather than purchase the entire gearbox assembly, is there any documentation on the gears to get a replacement for the one gear that failed?
The Gearbox assembly part is listed as: 14-7970 or 14-8035
Buy another unless you can measure the gear diameter and find a correct replacement.
