Quoted from pinballinreno:

I'm also putting back in the lightning flipper bats.
It came with standard bats but you get a little more power off the coils with slightly shorter bats.
The 1/8" seems like a lot shorter, but the game came with lightning flippers.
1/4" increase in flipper gap should be challenging lol.
I can always change them if it's too hard to play.
Has anyone else put in the lightning flippers?

Mine came with them as it was a prototype or something.
I can not really tell the difference BUT I love the lighting bolt pattern on the flipper bats.
I love following what you are doing with the game!
Keep posting!

Quoted from pinballjah:

Just installed some Mirrorblades on my Dr Who. Is it standard to have the warning lever for the glass installed on the Dr Who? I had to remove this and tape it closed to install the Mirrorblades. Does anyone know if there is a way to turn it off in the adjustment menu? Thanks for the help.

Did you go with black mirror or chrome blades?

Quoted from ignat:

Guess who’s Who is fully functional . Thanks for the tip to read PinWiki. It has awesome info.
I installed both new opto board and motor driver board, all faults are cleared and it boots without issue now.
Just did a polish and threw some new ninjas in and the machine proceeded to kick my ass for 2hrs.
I need practice badly. Haha
Thanks again.

Congrats! I am falling more and more in love with this game. Color DMD and pinsound are worth adding.

My lifter kit and replacement motor board are on the way.
This whole thread gives me a heart attack.
If I did not love this game I would run away.
My MFD works fine but I want to be ready to do a rebuild.
I am going to try and talk Pinballinreno to rebuild mine for me as he is the Dr Who master here.

Quoted from Niterider:

Swinks carrier and Pindorabox boards acquired.
I managed to get four of the five mushroom targets moved before the retaining clip on #5 launched itself into the nether realm. Will a generic e-clip replacement work or will I need to order a specific retaining clip?
I also wired up the Pindora boards, can I just plug them in to the machine without the mini PF to test to see if they will work before I get this thing all back together?

I recall reading you need narrow e clips. I bought some if you need any.

Or ...
[quoted image]
It's not original in circuit design but has reduced power dissipation (those big blue 2W resistors are gone), LED indicators and is much more easily serviced as there are discrete transistors versus a comparator.

Are these for sale?
How much?

Quoted from pinballinreno:

On this game, LEDOCD and GIOCD are a must in my opinion.

Who should I buy them from?
thanks

#5681 1 year ago

I already have the tx rebuild kit.
Any suggestion's as to the best replacement decals?

Quoted from Zanado:

But aren’t the head decals consistent with the original artwork? The original artwork had a black border all around it too.

That is all correct according to my game.

Quoted from pinballinreno:

Is the coil getting hot?
Check that the plunger isnt binding on the sleeve or sticking to the coil stop.
Flipper not dragging on the playfield.
Flipper bushing not cracked.
Flipper should move super smoothly.
Check and adjust the EOS switch.
Either way, most Doctor Who games need total flipper rebuild kits on all the flippers.
I would just rebuild them all.

While doing the rebuild you may want to consider installing Precision Pinball Products Flipper system.
I just installed a bunch of them and like them. I will be putting them on the Doctor next week.
There is a tread about them. Review – Precision Pinball Products CNC Flipper System
