Anyone have any advice for fixing connectors between green light board and cpu?

The connector to my ESCAPE targets is failing. I can get it work and five minutes later it needs to be reseated. Do I simply reflow soder on pins?

Also have couple other lights on greenboard work one minute after tweaking bulb sockets.
Then not working later. Tried new black connector detachable pots. Not sure how to consisely communicate this.

Any ideas on obtaining a plastic set?

Where did you find this alternative translite?

Quoted from BaronRouge:

Happy to knock at this club's door.
I have my DW pinball since two month only and i am so in love with it !
Here in France, it is not a popular TV show. It as just came timidly from our British neighbours since the new 2005 serie.
In add to the tacky and ugly translite this pinball is underrated...
I have changed for a alternate backglass that is playing perfectly with the original light-show and also for a custom more compact topper dome... And this machine seems regenerated like a time lord !
Playfield art is great and i hope offer to my DW a Pinsound pcb as soon as possible.
It's a very good machine for family but also a very technical/strategic pin to make big score. Everybody enjoy with it.

Haven't seen many of these unique parts around. Looking to obtain some nice NOS Mushroom buttons.

Anyone 3d Print these. Sorry if this is a common question but mine are nasty looking.

I have created this translite

I love your translite! Perfect! Better than original.

25 a pop is absurd. If I have to I will 3D print them before I get kicked in the balls like that.

Quoted from swinks:

just got to print a sample at home to check the design and then print from Shapeways as the final check, so will be available soon.
This is the preview image of the metal flake grey from Shapeways

Can't wait to see what color options are available.

#1806 6 years ago

I'm trying to decide what color I should go with. Blue would kind of pop. I've seen some alternate colors before.

The ones in my machine are scratched to hell. Not sure how they got that way.

I am getting ready to shop my Dr Who. Replacing All Post, Rubbers and Ramps.

Only thing I am having issues with are Plastics. Can't find any "official" sources.

Anyone have a set?

Installed the Gulf 5 bank Opto set. Doesn't work at all. I can see the Optos light up.
However can't figure out how to test receivers.

Anyone else install the Gulf Opto bank from ebay. Ugh!

#1933 5 years ago

Warning!!! Gulf Opto board have larger optos. Just FYI - According to others they work. (edit)

See comparison.

Quoted from supermoot:

I think the optos available now are just longer in general. I bumped into this when I replaced some and had to shim it.

I am not 100% certain if the problem was the GULF reproduction or if the issue was a hack job with wiring.

Last night I spent the better part of an hour tracing all the connectors back to pins. ( Thank god for the Mini Playfield PDF)
I installed the NOS part someone sold me via ebay and got things working.

I didn't want to make the assumption that the last person who worked on the machine did their due diligence.
I've pretty much have had to redo everything on this game.

The playfield though is great.

I wonder if CPR will be able to run Dr. Who Plastics. This by far is my favorite WPC era game.

I know some plastics sets were out there years ago. Who originally produced them

#1950 5 years ago
Quoted from dsuperbee:

Just have to negotiate with the BBC And the actors portrayed.

What actors are portrayed on plastics. Just Daleks for the most part.
