I take my family out for bowling or skating about once a month and the place we usually go has a few older EM’s a Space Jam and a POTC which of course I sink a few dollars in every time.

Last night the Doctor was in the house! I was excited to see Doctor Who sitting at the end of the row – felt like I made a discovery. Never played this one before, it is a really fun game with all shots satisfying to make but also frustrating with slight misses resulting in lots of drains. The replay appeal is there though, as I didn’t want to play any of the other games (a few matches helped out too). The music and light show is awesome, IMHO the sound quality was much better than the pirates sitting next to it.

I read Robin’s guide this morning and look forward to going back armed with more knowledge about what to shoot for. Hope it’s still there next time!

DW is a very fun game. I'd love to have one in my collection some day. It's amazing how times have changed. Whenever I happen to come across a new pin "out in the wild", I can't help but get excited. Where I live, it's really hard to find pins to play. I actually went to Chuck E. Cheese without my kids the other day just to play some Simpsons. I'm pretty sure the people working there thought I was some sort of creepy pedophile.

I know what you mean about going to Chuckee Cheeses alone. I just say I'm here for my cousin's BDay party. Do all the Chuckee's have a Simpsons? That is now 4 that I know of.

What I also like about Dr. Who is your ability to choose the Doctors. Adds some strategy to the game.

Dr Who is another one of those great DMD games from Bally/Williams, that is a pleasure to run into if you can find one.

Can't say I've been to a Chuck E Cheese in a while to see if they got pinball, but after the pinball machine misery I see at the miniature golf locations, its probably just a waste of time and gasoline to bother looking.

gweempose I see that you are in the Chicago area too. It might be a drive from where you are but if interested the place is called funway in Batavia. Six games in pretty good shape plus since it's a bowling alley so there are other "adults" around so you won't be confused as a creepy guy

"It might be a drive from where you are but if interested the place is called funway in Batavia ..."

Thanks for the heads up. I just checked, and it's about 45 miles from my house. I've certainly driven further for less noble causes. I'm going to be in Vegas in August, so I'm really looking forward to spending some quality time at the PHOF.
