If the switches quit they are not driven by the drive board but the cpu. It's possible you could have corrosion on the switch line for the bumpers coming off the plug on the cpu board.

Did you check the return lanes and outlane switches as they are on the same column. They are on the same column. Im sure your diodes are good on the switches. Sounds like a wiring, plug, or open trace on the cpu for that switch line. Even repaired alkaline damage often comes back if some of the mitigation is missed.
