    Got a weird one here.

Doctor Who with 2 flippers fully working. The remaining one does not hold and it “double pumps” the flipper when held.

The EOS was replaced and tested. When disconnected, it only pumps once... which tells me the low is at least firing and there is continuity back on this switch.

The coil stop, sleeve, and coil have all been replaced.

I’ve ordered a new fliptronic just to be safe. What did I miss or is there a quick fix I have overlooked?

Have u checked your flipper opto boards in the lower cabinet? Those do go bad.

I have not. I will do that now. Thank you.

    Several things to check.

Check all 4 fuses in Fliptronic board. replace if one is blown, and if it blows right away then you have a bad transistor on fliptronic
Check opto switches in switch check. You should see 2X optos on each side. Though the fact that it hits tells me it probably isn't the opto as these are either good or bad.

Lastly, and most commonly. Flipper coil low voltage winding could be open. Either fix this or replace the coil. Either of these will solve an open coil winding.

    Replaced all fuses.

I have replaced the coil and coil stop.

    Looking at optos now.

    EOS switches test out ok.

The coil test gives nothing on the hold test.

Problem at this point has to be down to connection between the hold line and the fliptronic, no?

I’ve got corrosion on the TIP36c terminal to the very right (q11)

It is the right flipper that is out, btw.

    Sound about right?

Bad fliptronics, replaced board and it’s perfect.

    (Apologies on lack of update.)

Appreciate your description of what happens when Flip board goes bad.
