1.5 years ago I was 285 pounds. Severely obese they called me...I went through the HCG program twice and lost over 40 pounds. The HCG program is intense with injections and a super low calorie diet (500 calories). Great thing is that I was really never hungry and lost 20-30 pounds each time I. 30 days.

As a type 1 diabetic since I was a kid I was always active and at good weight until I got older and my sedentary life and bad eating took over.

After the HCG program you have to add exercise and continue to watch what u eat or it all comes back. I found my Fitbit to really assist in tracking those goals. It's strange to walk around the house at 11pm at night to get the final green light for the day... but it works. It's motivating and I have kept the weight off.

I picked my charge HR up for $50. Would love to try the charge 2 but can't justify the $150 price tag when this one seems to do it all (except swimming which I rarely do anyways)-

Shit I am 209 steps short and lying in bed.. gotta walk lol!!

Quoted from Geocab:

I need to get something like a Fitbit. I'd like something that is accurate with HR. Not sure what's out there. Apple Watch is out as my iPhone is a work phone. My personal phone isn't an iPhone.
I've started recording what I eat everyday so I can see how quickly there calories add up. My diet is awful.
Anyway, I need to make changes. I'm 5'9", 240 pounds and this is the most I've ever weighed. I'm disgusted with myself but I just can't get myself to make the necessary changes like quit drinking pop. The calorie counting should help me here because while I knew pop was bad, I didn't realize how many calories I added a day just from pop. Well over 1000. Ugh.

My Fitbit charge HR is an older model but he heart rate is bang on with my strap on my elliptical. I picked up a used Fitbit as so many people buy them and sell them without using. Also for the food tracking and calories, etc I would check out my net diary on iPhone. Great app and the free version is likely all you need to get tracking.
