I agree with IndyPinHead.

The red in particular on those repro decals IS washed out. Comparing the photos of the decals with photos of my Mousin' machines (I have two) that red is pretty bad. I wouldn't use them on my machines. But then again, if your cabinet is really screwed up and faded, torn, ripped, etc. those deals are better than nothing.

I've asked Rick several times about status on Mousin' decals and the last I heard there were some minor issues with getting the colors exactly right. That was over a year ago.

I was lucky enough to have started in the hobby years ago when parts for Mousin' were easy to come by, so I have no maintenance worries, at least with Mousin'. Having the parts catalog on hand helps too. But I still want a set of decals (maybe two sets) to have as ready standbys.

I have some photos of a Mousin' (have had multiple machines over the years) that I sold for $700 not too long ago. These photos are indicative of the fade that happens when exposed for any length of time to UV.

The fade is typical, as are decal peeling, flaking, tearing around where the legs are mounted especially. That's why I have protectors mounted under the legs particularly on my Mousin' machines now.

I can provide photos of the MUCH better cab decals on my other Mousins's after the Christmas and New Year's holidays if there is any interest.

I will be waiting for the Mousin' decals produced by PPS.

The photo that mitch1985 posted of his cabinet has the correct color red (i.e., hue/tint/saturation). The peeling around where the legs are mounted is typical. Get some leg protectors that mount to the cabinet with two screws to protect the rest of the decals before mounting legs.

Nice looking cab, mitch! At least, what is visible.........

Those are NOT photos of the machines I currently have.

Those particular photos were taken prior to the sale of that particular Mousin' Around machine so the person(s) interested in the machine would know what they were getting, as noted in my prior post. That faded red cabinet is indicative (and an example of) what happens to Mousin' Around when exposed to too much UV. I have not YET taken any photos of my current Mousin' Around machines and post them, but due to your unwarranted sarcasm, I will forego posting them in this forum.

As I also stated earlier, ANY new Mousin' Around decals, whether they match colors perfectly or not, are better than what is on your machine now.

It's YOUR machine. Do what you want to it.

Just goes to show how a machine that at one time could hardly be given away, now has a popular following. Time...........the great equalizer.

Lightning flippers? What's better about them?

#230 8 years ago

Gotcha. Thanks.

Classic incandescents for me. My machine isn't on long enough to get the bulbs to plastic melting temperature.
