Quoted from Kerry_Richard:Nice MA... is that an original cabinet or re-decaled?
It's been re-decaled but I'd rather that than faded! Playfield is lovely though
Really enjoying playing it so far but quick novice question, do balls ever get locked behind the mouse hole? there seem to be a few switches there but the ball only (so far) seems to pass through.
Quoted from matt_adams:It's been re-decaled but I'd rather that than faded! Playfield is lovely though
I totally agree!
Quoted from dozer1:Nope.
That's weird, I'm guessing it was originally intended as there are "3 ball lock" switches there!
Quoted from swinks:got my sample ball eater bracket and everything works on the bench, came out at $62.50 USD
let us know how it holds up to much gameplay! Will be great news for the game if this becomes FORMER unobtainium.

got mine too . gotta be stronger than 30+yo plastic .feels looks good .new plunger/ball catcher(marco) fits nice remember- any machine is only as good as its weakest part , and I reckon I can forget about ball trap probs now
IMG_0505 (resized).JPGAnyone have a guide for where the rubbers go? I ordered a set of rubbers from Marco, but the guide that was included is just a scan of the playfield parts page in the manual, which doesn't actually show the rubber locations. As far as I know, no page in the manual shows where the rubbers go.

I had the same issue, but I ended up just using old pictures to figure out where everything went. For the most part, I think I got it right.

Airtight, I guess I'll just do that then. I should have enough photos to figure it out.

If you’re missing any photos, let me know.
and if you have spare time, feel free to track down the location of each rubber and set up a proper list and map for other users
Guys, i need some help.
My Mousin Around is currently located in our city hospital and i have to fix it.
I went there but i have no pictures to see the part that i need to get. I have seen that the drop target were not moving properly and i have seen that the guide was broken, surely due to the success of this pinball in the hospital !
This is the plastic black piece that is fixed under the playfield and that guides the drop target carrier, in the center.
I'm not sure about the reference, would it be this one : https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/545-6278-00 ?
thanks a lot
Just picked up the prototype that has been sitting in box for almost 17 years. Original and in perfect condition. Been waiting a long time to find a perfect example and should be here in a few weeks. Might need help with this one, no battery damage as was from collector who removed the batteries, but im sure sitting this long its gonna need fine tuning. Love this game and been waiting a long time to join this club! Anyone know if there are side blades or decals?. If not will put the mirror ones in.

Yes. Either that one or the one from Little Shop of Games. I think I got mine from Little shop of games when I replaced it but had to redrill the holes a tiny bit to fit properly.

THIS is the pinball future I have been craving! Down with unobtainium, up with getting every machine playing 100%!

welcome to the club! Any play differences on the proto?
Quoted from cait001:welcome to the club! Any play differences on the proto?
I’m curious as well. Does anything different happen when you head to the mouse hole? Ball locks up there since there are multiple switches?

Will let you know when I pick up from the depot, however I don't believe so. This was the final version before heading to the line.
b0c45bc934c03c218e8bbf7da50e4dad0bf25bde (resized).jpegThese things so rare its tough to see these even at a show, and I have been to many. If there is one there its usually poor condition and only once I got to play at Pin A GoGo and had so much fun playing with some buds we spent hours. Ever since been searching high and low for something like this one!
Are the repro trap mechanisms going to be available for the foreseeable future? One of mine is cracked at one point, and the other is broken apart in two pieces (Though they were both working fine when I played the game before checking, somehow). I'm planning on piecing them back together with some Scigrip 3, however, if that doesn't work out I'll probably go ahead and bite the bullet on these repros. Just want to be sure these will still be available later if the Scigrip fix fails a few months from now.
no reason to remove from shapeways unless something happens to Shapeways, but if anything they just get more expensive as a new CEO recently bumped all the prices up across all materials and parts and designers are leaving in protest. I will leave my parts there until a better alternative comes

Oh awesome, I didn't realize these were just printed on demand. Thanks!
Quoted from mystman12:Oh awesome, I didn't realize these were just printed on demand. Thanks!
yes made on demand, but unlike home printers these are soild laser sintered colour nylon which have almost the same qualities of the original brackets
Quick questions about fuses. First off, what type of fuse should be put in the flipper slots under the playfield? I can't seem to find anything on these in the manual. Second, what type of fuse is supposed to go in the F4 slot on the auxiliary driver board? In the manual (The one downloaded from the IPDB) it says it should be 2 1/2 amps, but on the sheet inside the cabinet it says F4 should be 2 amps. Which is right?

Any help? I'm about to order some fuses and I want to make sure I've got all that I need.
Edit: Also, are all the fuses supposed to be slow blows? The manual has them all marked as S-B, but it seems kind of weird to me that there wouldn't be any fast blow fuses. I'm wondering if I'm misinterpreting something in the manual.

yes , and I can verify they FIT PERFECT!! different colors too!!!!!!!! with used plunger(yellow ball catcher) and the new one from marco . thanks again swinks for making it possible to own unbroken ball catchers. a machine is only as good as its weakest part

@trumpy... curious: are those new cabinet decals? If so, do you have 2 sets of plastic leg proctors on (yellow over black)? Or are they original decals which you are covering up damage?

new decals . I have found that the plastic protectors are too hard and damage decal . so now I fit a thin unbacked felt underneath . no ugly chopped up decal when you remove legs
Quoted from wcbrandes:"playfield scores are doubled" I want that cheese plunger jelly school!

I had a chunk of aluminium.... and imagination ,. and a hacksaw

Use the stern plates eliminates issues and gets rid of the ugly plastic leg protectors.
swinks I was just cleaning up the diverter mech on my Mousin', and I was thinking about the plastic part #03-8090 that it uses. Mine's still good, but I was wondering, is that something you'd ever consider modeling for Shapeways as well? It's a pretty simple piece, and I'm sure there are some people who could use one. Seems to be out of stock everywhere, and it's used in at least four different games. Would be nice for owners to know they'd be able to get a replacement if they have one that breaks.

hey @mystman12 , I don't mind helping the hobby with some of these hard to find parts, but I need to borrow a sample to accurately measure up and model and then order a sample to check against. It doesn't look hard to replicate.
if someone can send me one at their postage cost, I will return it at my cost along with a Shapeways sample to test.
here are my other repro parts that are no longer unobtainable
