I just received my Etekcity remote controlled outlets, and they are great. I no longer have to crawl under my machines to shut off my subwoofer when the gal is sleeping!

    Yup!
I turn on all two of them!

Black lights come on. Regular lights go off. All pins on.

I turn them all on and then switch between them. I rarely play just one -- I always try to get a few games in on each of them so they don't get jealous of each other, and I reassure them that I love them all equally and try not to let on in their presence that STTNG is actually my favorite (don't tell Black Hole or Funhouse!)

I'd like to see a bigger picture of that.

I only go one at a time because for one, it's expensive to have them running doing nothing. 2. puts strain on your games and makes you have more burnt out bulbs. (you know it's going to be the GI bulb that's under 3 ramps to get to and ground braided in). 3. cuts down on heat in the house. Ambiance is nice, but I can get that when I have a house full of people and have to have them all on.

You got black light carpet too?

    #61 4 years ago

Nope. Takes too long to turn them all on.

I've thought about remotes, but haven't tried anything I've found that works. Had problems with X10 receptacles.

Dutch firm makes these with an internet router and an app.
You can program the sequences with delays (if you want to switch a bunch like you have ) to switch things on or off.
    All from your smartphone.

Pretty sure you can find this sort of solution in the States as well

No black light carpet. Hoping some day to have it.
