I think it is important to keep an open mind. For as strange as it might sound, collecting machines that are never played is much like collecting anything else that is never used for its intended purpose. A stamp that never gets licked and stuck to an envelope sits in a glass case somewhere, a beer or liquor bottle sits on a shelf never to be drank etc...I am not one of these people, all my games get played but I think maybe to some extent it is cool that some people intend to preserve these items. Think as these items pass along from these collectors, someone years from now will play a game from the past in incredible condition and for a moment, live in a time from long ago.
