I will say they aren’t as easy to work on. Changing the payback is a EEPROM change. Game changes sometimes require clear/set EEPROMs. And the menu system requires a secret decoder ring. Maybe newer ones are easier, all I’ve know is the S+ series….
You mention using the DBV. Do you fill them up and then let your friends play for real?
