    Quoted from MrBally:

MrsBally sat on a jury where someone picked up aboot $400.00 laying on the floor in a Detroit casino.
He was found guilty of a Felony. Even with that "low" amount.
Finders keepers does not apply in a Michigan, non-Tribal casino.

Found a crisp $100 bill under the leg of my stool while sitting at a slot machine. A really old lady had been playing next to me for a long time, but got up and moved before I found it. She was playing with cash out of bank envelope, so I was pretty sure it was hers. Casino worker found her. I asked her if she had possibly lost any money. She starts counting her crisp $100s. I knew it was hers so gave it to her. Casino worker told me I should have just kept it. Ha! If I had no idea whose it was, I would have.

It was a casino in Biloxi. I can't remember the name.

    Quoted from chad:

    Guilty of finders keepers.

Yeah, I just kinda figure when I'm at a casino having a good time, I'm usually not in the clearest state of mind. If I look down and see money, I must have dropped it. Now if I see someone else drop it, then I pick it up and keep it. Prosecuting that makes sense to me.

    Quoted from TractorDoc:

I am no religion pusher, but keep it around because I always wanted to catch someone taking it.

    Really? Why?

I saw ~$1 worth of change next to a toilet in a public restroom. I did not pick it up.
