Quoted from Cheeks:Totally agree, but my comment was in response to someone saying they bought a $2800 pool table and they could sell it and use the money to get 2 decent pins. Most used pool tables are worth next to nothing, so once you buy it you need to understand you won't be able to sell it to fund much of anything else.
That was me, and I don't think I was saying that at all. For the prices what they are now, you would be hard pressed to buy more than one newer Bally/Williams title for $2800. I don't expect to sell my pool table to finance pinball machines. I was just saying that the space that the table takes up could not be re-filled with pinball for what prices are today and my bank account.
6 or 7 years ago, maybe. That is when we got the table, so it was an option then and it was a conscious decision to get the pool table instead . I could not replace my games now for anywhere near what I got them for back in the day.
