When I buy a pin that I previously sold, then it's a keeper . . .
Quoted from ff6735:ACDC is my #1 at this point to. Last to leave.
WHAT??? What happened to IJ? That was a short honeymoon!
Would never sell my KISS. It's a game I dreamed of owning since I can recall seeing it at a bowling alley while, at my 5th birthday party. 33 years later I got one, the soon discovered that I loved playing pinball and bought 5 more machines in the next year.
Redo that taxi and sell it back to me!!
I've been refining my collection to a group of keepers around 25 in total for the past couple of years.
Recently, I've had the thought of downsizing, and what that might look like.
I think I could easily get to 10.
Getting to 5 wouldn't be as easy - but I think I could do it.
The *one* that I just wouldn't sell? Quite impossible to pick. Unless it happens, I have no idea.
For me it's Whirlwind. It's the one I go back to most frequently, perfect amount of stop and flow, fun music with cheese-tastic call-outs, great unlicensed theme, entertaining toys, appropriate amount of randomness, elegant and understandable ruleset, plus it's a tank that rarely breaks. It was my first purchase and it'll be the last to leave if there's ever a need for liquidation.
Long live Whirly,

Long live the power of the wind, WW brother. It's my desert island pin.
My 4 I will never sell (unless it was the right price and I knew I could buy a nicer one later on)
Space shuttle
Apollo13
Fire!
Whirlwind
My restored Black Knight.
It got me hooked on pinball when they were new and was the first thing I bought when I started collecting.
many have came and went. since 3 is the max. the fireball home model my parents bought is never leaving no matter how crappy they were. Dr Dude my first venture in commerical pins will never leave. Just added a Nascar that will never go anywhere. I may take the fireball home model down and store under the others but will never sell it.

LOL... Wrong thread Mr. Moore! Try "do you have 25 pins you would never sell or trade?"
From here on out all the pins I have now and all the pins I plan to acquire in the future, will be willed to whom I want when I'm gone. BUT.....they have to have a picture of me on the back-glass to look at while they are playing
Probably my whirlwind. I got it cheap and it's a bit of a beater (cabinets damaged, ramps puttyed back together) but the playfield is nice and it's reliable and it's fun.
My Black Knight isn't going anywhere. I don't even like the gameplay, but the game is in such bad condition that it's worth much more in sentimental value than it's worth in cash.
Quoted from pinmanguy:Probably my Whirlwind.
Quoted from RyanClaytor:Preach!
Brothers of the Cellar. We should start a cult.
Also my Scared Stiff (when I finally land a nice one).

Please do!!
I think I wouldn't let something go if it was in incredible condition and could never really be replaced. My WPT and JD are about as nice as they come but they would still go on the block if I was made a nice offer. I don't think either one is hard to find in nice shape for not a lot. The only games that were very very nice that I have played that I would never trade if I got ahold of them were Taxi, Adams Family, and a Whitewater at the HAAG expo in Houston. I think the same guy brought all three of those. It is hard to justify paying for mint condition when nice is 60% the price but god some machines shine when mint.
Quoted from embryonjohn:Call me crazy, but for me it'd be my 1977 Gottlieb Big Hit.
Okay, you're crazy.
Still waiting for someone to answer:
My (fill-in-the-blank) pin isn't going anywhere. Nobody else wants it.
