My family does this too and it drives me insane. My son gets staff all the time because he plays football and wrestles and he is in locker rooms and gyms. I got shingles in my 30s. It was a spot about the size of a baseball on my shoulder. It looked really weird but it was by far the most painful thing that ever happened to me. It was just raw pain. Clothes were painful. Showering was painful. I went to a Dr and begged him to let me in. He looked at it and said: “by god you are the youngest person I have ever seen with shingles. You are in for quite a ride”. It lasted a month if I remember correctly

If I wasn't 100% against vaccines except for obviously the ones diseases that will kill I would say get the shingles vaccine. Nothing in my life has ever hurt me like shingles did and it was just a baseball sized spot on my shoulder. I was only like 28-30. It hurt to shower or wear clothes. Shit it hurt when the wind blew on it. Nothing made the pain go away, Drs wouldn't give me anything.

There were times when no one was around and I hit it on something that I wanted to cry like a little bitch.
