If I see the flu or cold virus I flex super hard and it fends that shit off ASAP. I am tough though, lots of wimps will go to the Doctor for anything. Those that die? Their fault, not tough.

#802 4 years ago

I'm taking my 97 year old mom to the doctor so he can prescribe her a walker as she is starting to wobble a bit, but she still refuses to ever get another flu shot.

#803 4 years ago
Quoted from Wickerman2:

Scan the thread...anecdotes aside, the actual science is listed here along with everybody's hair-brained theory based on a sample size of 1. People say the same shit every year though so whatever. There are certain topics that people are not convinced of until it hits their family/friends then suddenly they are "believers" in the science. Human nature I guess.

#804 4 years ago

Mom was not only a believer in science, but she taught it. Biology and advanced physiology. Many of her students became big time doctors. She worked in a lab doing blood tests when she was younger.

She still won't get a flu shot.

, I have no doubt that there would be an uprising of citizenry to fight against it.

Oh for sure they would. Luckily the Government usually goes pretty easy on armed militias.

Quoted from Who-Dey:

These kind people are known as sheeples. No since in even arguing with them because they are brainwashed to the point of no return. They are literally real life zombies that just go thru life with their heads in their ass 24/7.

Have you read the actual inserts that come with each shot?? Notice there is never a stack of them. You pretty much have to demand one. And not the fact sheet, ...

#807 4 years ago

Coming from Europe used to get the normal cold and get over it
Never needed a shot for it

Been in CA for many ,many years now
Never had a cold !!

When we traveled to Europe the misses took a flue shot since her Doc advised her
Still she got sick as a dog

She Never took flue shot since and no problems since then

Flue shots just a scam to us

#808 4 years ago
Quoted from Rager170:

Lol, that will never ever happen here in the USA.

Bullshit. Just look at some of the things the government has done to people. People in Other countries never thought those things would happen to them but it did, in most cases a little at a time. How about some “ common sense gun control”. Nazi Germany did that. Venezuela did that. Look what happened to them. Never trust the government

This thread never gets old.

It has a lot in common with those of you who don't get your annual flu shot (or the innocent victims that you come in contact with)...

What would Chuck Norris do?

They give Chuck the flu and Chlamydia. His immune system kicks their ass. Then they withdraw all Chucks blood to be used as a Vaccine and Chuck doesn't even notice.

Attention Pinside... Is there and actual doctor in the house?

I'm not sure what we in Ca. should fear more. Getting a flu shot, actually getting the flu, or this guy.

That you don't understand the difference is sad.

Didn't we have the exact same discussion in this thread last year?

Sure, and as long as some of you keep trying to use guilt trip tactic or insults, it's never going to end.

It's an agenda some of us don't buy into. Or really need to. Or want to.

Again, the difference is those that say no are not trying to make those that say yes change their minds with any of those tactics.

#823 4 years ago

Is it weird that I don't mind the government giving me vaccines but I wouldn't want them to give me a free pinball machine because I would be too suspicious?

#824 4 years ago

Edit. Nevermind. Im not going to have this argument with Odin again.

How is it science. They want you to have them, It makes big pharma money, so they tell you “ of course they are ok. We wouldn’t harm you, we love you.”. Then they hide the truth and show you some bogus facts. Kind of like we are all going to die in 10 years because of global warming if we don’t submit to the green new deal. It’s a agenda like everything else.

True that - the whole gun control argument will be meaningless in a few decades as robot tech advances.

You might want to check out the burger thread instead. Some pretty tasty subjects over there.

What this world really needs is an epidemic of monstrous proportions to get the population down to a more manageable level. It's no secret there are way too many people and it's not sustainable.

Over my dead body. They better bring one hell of a posse!

Btw, it would be tied to your drivers license renewal...not current then no license

You can see how that would snowball

Then I'll just get it all done at once.

Flu shot, tracking chip implanted in my head, and bar code branded onto my forearm. Might as well have them install all the cameras in my house the same afternoon.

Am I missing any?

Now now someones 90 year old me maw's life depends on your compliance of injecting mercury and formaldehyde right into your body just so there's less than a 50% chance it will do any good.

I guess I should do anything to help the struggling health care industry stay afloat.

Yes. Every year. The flu is awful to have and while the shot is not foolproof (three years ago I caught the flu anyway) it is still the best insurance out there.

Also, if you are over fifty don’t put off getting the two dose shingles vaccination.

As opposed to the real life zombies that believe the media lies fed them by proven liars over and over again. Yeah, I'll abstain from taking the advice of the same group that imported 1600 of Hitler's priest-class "scientists" (operation paperclip). But to call someone who questions time-and-again proven liars a zombie, that suggests some emotional attachment to a belief deeply doubted.

My stepfather got the varicella/shingles vaccine at 84. He's now 88. He's suffered the shingles since just after the shot and is now getting an eyeball removed to stop the pain from the neuropathy caused by shingles. I don't need any of that "protection". Besides, I had the chicken pox so shingles ain't gon' be no thing to me.

Oh, yeah, he never met a shot he didn't want and is in complete denial the shot caused it.

I’m 40 and just did it and they found a pre-cancerous polyp! It runs in my family, I feel like I dodged a bullet.

#848 4 years ago

I got shingles in my 30s. It was a spot about the size of a baseball on my shoulder. It looked really weird but it was by far the most painful thing that ever happened to me. It was just raw pain. Clothes were painful. Showering was painful. I went to a Dr and begged him to let me in. He looked at it and said: “by god you are the youngest person I have ever seen with shingles. You are in for quite a ride”. It lasted a month if I remember correctly

#849 4 years ago

Funny a few mentioned shingles. I had a small bout of them in Feb. It didn't hurt like others mentioned but itched like hell while they healed and it felt like I had the flu No seriously. It feel like a truck hit me. I thought I was too young at 49 to get it but evidently not.

That's NWO agenda 2030 talk. Get some TIME magazines from 10+ years ago to get a good laugh at all the fear porn they put out and how NONE of it has come to pass.
