I have a physical every year. I have a colonoscopy when they tell me it’s time. Every 10 years from age 50.

    Quoted from o-din:

Would it be a good idea to have the old prostate checked at the same time?

They will check your prostrate with a basic checkup. The colonoscopy prep the night before is not really that big of a deal. It’s not like having a few beers with your buddies.... but really no big deal. Follow the directions and stay home. If it’s time for u to do it.... GET IT DONE. Don’t put it off.

He also looks at my butt, but perhaps that isn't enough?

Sorry.... That’s not enough. They don’t tell u to bend over while they’re putting on the glove.

    Quoted from ccbiggsoo7:

think the old finger up the butt is a thing of the past anymore...…….. or so I hear. its all bloodwork now isn't it?

I had a checkup about a month ago and they did the finger thing for the prostrate exam.

    Quoted from o-din:

    How much does that cost?

It’s included with my yearly check up provided by my insurance company. The entire checkup cost me $25
