I'm relatively new to this hobby, and had thought I as I got older I would my free time building models or a model train layout, not loading up pins throughout my basement. Everything from the fun of acquisition to nostalgia/history to mechanical to electronics to art and design is exciting, with the added bonus that they are fun for everyone to play. Maybe I will feel different in five years but don't think so - the more I learn and expand my ability to repair/maintain/restore, the more interested I become.
