Quoted from Aurich:I'm working on a somewhat complicated mod, at least on my end to design and build. But I know that on the user end it's gotta be a 20 minutes or less job to install. No soldering, no drilling, nothing more complicated than taking off some screws or bolts, putting them back on, and hooking up some connectors.
People just have a low threshold for their comfort level when it comes to this stuff.
Some mods are engineered better than others and if a mod isn't engineered to be truly plug and play I will not purchase it. Unfortunately this little fact is not always known until the mod arrives. A mod also needs to be 100 percent reversible otherwise I will not install it.
Mods that are powered by the game and interactive with game play are certainly my favorite mods and they also need to have clear (with photos) and concise installation instructions. If a mod that I purchase has this then I will install the mod at some point.
