i love pinball. that doesn't mean i have to love every single pinball machine.
For example -- although i love many Stern games, Star Wars seems cheap and phoned in to me, and the art is soulless. plus i don't personally enjoy constant hurry-ups, and i'm sorry, but the death star toy is lame as hell. that's my opinion, though, and i don't represent anyone other than myself.
listen, i think your mistake is lumping everyone together as a single monolith of "people other than you". there are literally thousands of us posting here. in any arbitrary group of that size, you're gonna get a few who have a problem with a game. it doesn't mean the community has a problem. it's just how the numbers work out.
like ... let's say you had a group of twenty thousand people. at any given point, several of them are most likely farting. that doesn't mean all of us are farting all the time. but if you start focusing on all the farting, you will not have a good time (unless you're into that kind of thing i guess).
anyway, all i'm trying to say is criticizing a large community for expressing the inevitable traits of a large community is kinda pointless. have you seen what some other forums are like? this one is a lot better than most. the mods do a great job of keeping things from spiraling out of control. but no amount of moderation is going to eliminate negative opinions of things, and no pinball on earth is ever going to be loved by EVERYONE.
i think the vast majority of people here like the vast majority of pinball machines.
last piece of advice: don't let opinions that differ from yours diminish your enjoyment of a game!
