So I'm about to replace a bad transistor in my Big Guns (Q54) and before I get started I decide to compare tests of some of the good transistors in the board to the new one I'm about to install... And it seems to be different. The transistors in the board are TIP42, the ones I got are TIP42A but they're labeled by Marco Specialties with the exact same part number as in the manual, and some searching seemed to show that the two are basically the same. I just don't understand why they seem to test differently with my DMM unless they test differently when in a board than out. Did I get the wrong part or should I just go ahead and install it?
