Hi fellow pinheads, do any of you know if jersey jack games to date have a built in tournament mode, such as the later Sterns?

Thanks. Pepper

Yes WOZ has a 'competition' mode which standardises between players

Not really the same...

Modern Sterns also have the competition mode that standardizes all of the random things (just hold in the left flipper button before starting a game), but it also has tournament settings in the game settings.

You can set when you want the Tourney to starts, when you want it to end, how much you want each tourney play to go toward the "pot", how many people win, and 2 different types of tourney (standard or bump and win) and a lot of other options. It's basically a set it and forget it type tourney system that can be used in the home OR on locations. It also displays the tourney leaders and time left on the tourney on the DMD during attract mode. I used to have one running on my Black Spider-Man all month long, every month when I had a lot of friends stopping in.

My only real complaint on the Stern tourney system is there is no way to set the game so it is on free play for standard play and pay for tourney play. A lot of my friends run one night tourneys at their pin parties.....it's just an added pain that the people wanting in the tourney have to stick their $1 in a cup next to the game. Then their are always people that hit the tourney button instead of the start button when they want to play a standard game. Adding that one little setting would make things in that situation so much smoother, but I'm sure it would take a system update and there for a new update for every SAM game to do it.
