Anyone know what blew mid-game on the DMD Board?

New DMD Screen and gone over the cables, all tight there.
Swapped boards with a working game and everything was fine.
I don't think it's a typical "Rolling" problem, but could be wrong.
Before I start changing caps, hope someone has advice?

Does it do the same thing when you run the display test?

See here: http://www.pinwiki.com/wiki/index.php?title=Williams_WPC#Display_problems
It has some good info. Other people will probably know more than I do, but I'd guess maybe bad memory on the DMD board.

At a glance, I'd also guess display controller RAM, but run the display test from diagnostics, and it'll check it.

Start with reseating the 2 ribbon cables from the top of the CPU board and to each board they go to. I had worse issues with my Corvette display and that is all I did was reseat them.

Or better yet, swap those 2 ribbon cables with another Bally game you have and then see which one acts up.

Yep, thanks guys...Display Test ends with "Ram Address Error".
Looks like an order to GPE is in my future, pinwiki says U24.
Would this be the right replacement chip?

That's the one.. don't forget your 28 pin .6 socket

New Socket and Ram installed at U24 and that solved the problem.
Thanks again guys, saved a $100 board with a $2.50 part.
