So my theatre of magic never cease to give me issues
This time is a dmd line which is not working properly (see pictures)
Any idea on how to fix this?

I'm pretty sure this is bad glass. (Actually the circuits on the back of the standard plasma display).

While it is possible that one of the board repair guys could look at this, you are probably looking at purchasing a new display.

It's a good excuse to upgrade to color.

Wish I had a cheaper answer, but I don't think that a replacement set of ribbon cables, or even a new DMD controller board is going to fix this.

Go into display test and manually scroll the vertical line part back and forth see if it does it there.

If you have another game with dmd you can swap as well to test.

Game off, try reseating the ribbon cables on both ends. The ones from the CPU to the DMD driver and the one from the DMD driver to the DMD. Just pull up slightly and push back down. No need to remove completely. Turn game on and see if it's better.

Maybe, maybe not. There's some troubleshooting that can be done before reaching that point.

Reseat the ribbon cables, as show here: https://www.pinwiki.com/wiki/index.php/Williams_WPC#Evenly_Spaced_Vertical_Lines

If you have another DMD game, swap it into a different game to see if the problem follows the DMD or not. That's a quick way to at least determine if the problem is in the display or in the game.

Go into game diagnostics and do a display test and RAM test for the display board.
