Is it safe to assume that if my DMD works most of the time, that the issue is not with the display, might be more with the driver board or power supply? It stops working after again 20 - 30 minutes of play.

Measure the voltages at the power connector at the DMD to find out. You can wedge the black meter lead between the wood and the ground braid in the bottom of the backbox to make it easier to measure. Depends on what you see on the DMD whether it is voltage related or data related.
Reseat 3 ribbon cables at each connection (not the short one between the MPU and DMD controller board).
Any other WPC games you have? Since you don't show your collections, it is tough to make suggestions.
OK - for starters it's a Data East jurassic park. Sorry, I'm new to all of this, but I had to select a game when I started the thread so I thought everyone knew
I've actually replaced the ribbon cable, and the DMD board - although it's rottendog and I've heard good and bad about them since I've bought it. the display will work fine for a game or two, then it will start by not showing sequences, then the wrong sequenced, then will says something like COMMAND B3 or A3 or both and some others. If I power it off for a while, a 'cool down' seems to make it all work again.
I'll post a voltage reading soon for the DMD. Your talking about the display itself, and not he driver board, right?
thanks for the tips.
BS
no acid damage - although the metal board that it's attached to is a little bit rusty in some parts.
Yep. Get us the voltage readings at the display power pins.
