I’ve got a buddy with a Fish Tales, his only machine. It’s been good for years, and suddenly the display has gone wonky. It’s as if you take the screen and divide it into 10 vertical strips. Strips 1,2,3 & 4 all look fine, but then strips 5-10 are all just duplicates of strip #4.
We tried the low hanging fruit first: reseat all the ribbon cables. No change.
I tried his display in one of my machines. It worked fine, so the display is good.
He replaced the ribbon cable (maybe all of them), still the same.
So it seems that now some actual effort will be needed to sort this out. He lives about 40 minutes away, so I’d like to go in with a plan. Any suggestions?

Replaced the RAM chip on the DMD controller board, and all is back to good. Thanks for the help.
