Hi,

Here is the video already.

Recently i have been trying to get my machine back up and running.
At first the machine would just give the startup sound without something else.
That is fixed now.

Now the DMD is glitching out as seen in the video.

Can somebody please help me.
I am trying to make my dad happy.

Sorry if my English is not so good.

Thx
Thomas

Your video. People have to sign in to see it. Is it set to private ?

Game off. Reseat the ribbon cables and power cables on the DMD and DMD driver board. Turn game on and see if it's better. If not, might be a bad display or burned up high voltage section of the DMD driver board.

I have tried this but it also doesnt work does this mean i need to buy a new control bord an a new display for it to work or not?

Looking at the video, think the ribbon cable is the problem.
Are you sure it's seated properly, ribbon-red on position 1?
You sure it's covering all the pins (not off by one)
Perhaps the ribbon cable itself is bad?

If it's a ribbon-cable, you have a cheap fix

Do you have another WPC DMD game that you can swap a display or driver board between to isolate the problem? If not you're going to have to test the voltages on the DMD driver board.

J604-1 (-125VDC)
J604-2 (-113VDC)
J604-3 (key)
J604-4 (gnd)
J604-5 (gnd)
J604-6 (+5VDC)
J604-7 (+12VDC)
J604-8 (+62VDC)

If any of those are out of specification, probably going to need to rebuild that section of the board. A bad DMD display is going to be hard to diagnose unless everything else is working first.

So we just ordered a new WPC and a new cable.
But i have another question.
The game doesnt load you can hear the startup sound but you cant start the game.
What i think is that the display has nothing to do with the game, is this wrong?
The flippers dont work eighter.
Also the connector on J121 is burned i dont know if this could be the problem?

Thx

Get your display working first so you can see in the diagnostics what's going on. J121 is for GI lighting, has nothing to do with any of your previous issues. You'll have to address that eventually, but get the display to work first.
