The image on the display will flicker or sort of bounce around when it gets really bad the image will look somewhat scrambled as seen in the picture. The problem does seem to get more pronounced when there are more machines running but it can be pretty bad even when it's the only one running, but it seems less frequent. My first thought was maybe power supply, I did swap it out and it made no difference. I checked some of the wires going to the dmd boards they look good. Hoping for a little help to narrow down where I should be looking in particular for problems. Thanks

Reseat ribbon cables both end from cpu to DMD driver board to DMD.

See if that helps.

Thanks for the reply. I tried reseating the cables, but sadly still has the issue. Forgot to mention before it tends to happen when I press one or both flipper buttons.

Anyone?

Are you getting a solid 5v at the display board?

A video would be helpful.

However, my first blush is that this is a DMD controller issue.
If you have another DE DMD game, you can swap DMD controllers between games safely to see if the problem follows.

I checked the voltage it is just under 5, (4.94-4.95v).
Wish I could do that unfortunately it is my only DE game. However I did take a video showing the issue:

Thanks. That helps.
I might suspect that one or more of your high voltages is dropping out for a split second.
We'll eliminate the PS as a suspect since you replaced it.
What is left is connectors at the PS and at the DMD itself.

You could install a different DMD to see if the problem remains.
Any HV DMD game with the "regular" sized DMD can be a donor.

I'd say test the voltages, but your meter probably wouldn't be agile enough to catch the dropout.

Okay I may need to look through the connectors again. I actually hooked up the 5v to a scope and got this picture. This was with a lot more games turned on to make it as bad as possible and hitting the flippers. This is supposed to be 5v DC right? lol

I do have a gottlieb game I could try.

I can't make any sense of that scope image. Weird.
