Ok, I can turn the pin on play 20 games error free. Come back the next day and I get 12v error,coin door open trough error,sound error. Turn on/off a few times, slam the door, usually goes back to normal for awhile. But it always does this. O and recently it will not have sound at startup then 10 minutes in it will come on. Strange, possibly corrosion on board that I can't see...? Any suggestions
Thanks but seems ok there, plus don't think it would cause all the other issues that come along at the same time.
Im not convinced. 12v is not related to the door switches. And, neither would things like sound error. Perhaps I'm missing something though as I'll admit you know more about this stuff than I do.
On that game, 12v power controls the optos, which are also in your trough. So those two errors may be related. It could be that your entire 12v rail is flaky on your power driver board which could perhaps cause all those errors. I'm not sure if the sound runs on 12v. It may. If it were me, I think I'd get the manual out and trace the 12v circuits with a DMM next time it happens, while it's on and while it's happening and try to make some sense out of what's going on on the power board. Since it seems to be intermittent, it could be a loose connector, or a connector might need to be reseated.
So btw, you may want to just start reseating connectors on your power driver board and see what happens. Also your ribbon cables from your cpu to your other boards - reseat those.
