Made my own Soccer Ball Shooter Rod for WCS after my repro shoot knob broke at league night so I thought I'd share how to make one.
image-561.jpg image-240.jpgI then put my shooter rod in the vice, mixed up the ClearWeld and filled the hole in the Foosball with the mixture.
I then placed the ball on the rod and cleaned up the excess that escaped with a shop towel.
This was the hardest part because I made the hole larger then the rod and the mixture is slightly runny.
The ClearWeld sets in about five minutes so I had to hold the ball centered while it set.
The ClearWeld sets in 1 hour but I let it set over night (about 20 hours).
The ClearWeld seemed to setup hard as a rock.
Total cost was roughly $21 bucks as the Shooter was $10, Foosballs $6 and ClearWeld $5. A cheaper rod could have been used ($5) and the end could of been removed but this is what I had on my game when it broke.
Extremely happy with the result. I was going to paint over the excess epoxy material but the shooter spring covers it and is not seen.
Hope this helps others that may want to make their own.
Happy Flipping!
but.. but.. you're giving away trade secrets of some other shooter rod makers! What's next? Bobble heads??
Great work man, looks awesome. Pinball Life sells blank shooters for $3.99 as well.

Clearly I can't do some of the awesome stuff you put out so I think your okay.
Thanks I didn't realize PBL sold them blank.
Bumping an old thread just to say thank you. I just broke the knob on my Congo and plan to replace it with a "diamond" drawer pull.
