With the 7-digit display boards, is the dimmer pot supposed to be one of the included SMD items or is it one of the parts needing to be added in final assembly with the digits, etc.

On the same path, if the dimmer pot is missing, will the display not work at all?

Asking because I ordered some, assembled the first one and this is where I’m at now

    Quoted from bontango:

thats the one I used before (out of stock at JLCPCB), in the new BOM I'm using this one:

    they will work both

Just got these, soldered it on, and the display works great! Hecccck yeah!

Seems like overkill painting them to me. The 7-digit displays are very snug. These things are phenomenal. Thank you bontango

bontango Sorry for the confusion, I am looking for the value of C5 for the bally 6 digit display. Thanks for your help!

These are what I have used for C5 on both 6 & 7 digit displays.

If it's helpful, I modified my Galaxy to be 7-digit using LISY displays. The added wire placement is one pin off on Bally vs. Stern, I believe, but here's a thread I started with some pics that may be helpful: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/stern-galaxy-7-digit-upgrade-tech-help-funky-hstd-issue

My issue turned out to be memory cache related in the NVRAM.

These are perfect for both 6-digit and 7-digit LISYs. Trust me, do NOT order the 6-digit foam. You can also just get a roll of foam and cut some out. I’ve done both.

Mirrored window film works as a nice cheap filter. Stuff like this: https://www.amazon.com/Daytime-Privacy-Non-Adhesive-Decorative-Control/dp/B07P9Q4ZP8
