    Hi friends and bontango -
I picked up a black hole from a fellow pinsider with the LISY setup including a sound board. It's going through the bootup process as expected (dip switches set correctly) And I'm hearing sound which is awesome! But, I can't get a game started.

When it goes into attract mode, a relay fires on and off every two seconds - the gate on the upper pf moves back and forth. the coin switches and the start button don't have any effect, the dip switch is set to free play.

Just looking for some direction on where to start...I'm no stranger to pins but this is my first LISY and first System 80. Thanks in advance for any direction!!

    Quoted from Grangeomatic:

First question: are there credits in the game?
It's booting and running in attract mode properly...

I can't get credits in the game...first, it's set to free play so I shouldn't need credits right? second, triggering the coin leaf switches does nothing. Maybe there's a connector undone someplace that interfaces the coin door stuff to the MPU? I did a detailed look and didn't see anything but i can look again.

    Does this pinout look right?

    Quoted from Grangeomatic:

As mentioned in the Black Hole club thread, try pressing and holding the start button for a couple/three seconds. Thats how "free play" works on LISY, I believe.

    I did, no joy

Hey guys I need some help. I’m close

    I’ve got a black hole, sys 80

Flashed the latest version onto a 16gb sd card via etcher.

Downloaded the pinmame black hole rom zip and renamed it according to the appendix in the docs.

    Set the dip switches.

Boot up looks good until I get an err 10 (see attached image)

Web server starts up great and I can see the switches change state in the browser.

Clearly I have the wrong rom, or it’s in the wrong place...

Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks

just to close the loop here - I ended up finding the correct rom, after that was loaded in the correct folder per the docs, i was able to play a game. Huzzah!
