bontango thanks for the work on these! see system 11 is now a thing but only "c", What would we need to do for a B game? think theyre backwards compatible but not the the other way " IE "C" cant be used in a "B", BUT "B" can use a "C".

System 11C MPU boards do not have the sound section(s) earlier MPU boards had.

    From https://www.actionpinball.com/tech/sys11revs.php :

System 11 boards have all the circuitry on them that the later boards used, with the exception of the 3 LED's to the right of the battery holder- this is a 7-segment LED "digit" on System 11 games, but still works fine in the later games that this board is compatible with. System 11 boards also have some extra circuitry that uses the top left corner 4-pin connector for some of the speakers. Some/all later System 11 boards may not use this.

System 11A boards: No notes at this time.

System 11B boards use 3 separate LEDs for board diagnostics, instead of the earlier 7-segment display digit. They also do not have the speaker circuitry and 4-pin connector in upper left corner, as used by System 11 games.

System 11C boards do not have the speaker circuitry or connector in upper left corner, nor any of the speech processing circuitry in the upper left section of the board- this area is left unpopulated, and sounds/speech in these games are controlled entirely via the background sound board, mounted above the MPU board in the backbox.

    Some compatibilities between versions:
System 11 boards can be used for System 11, 11A, and 11B boards. For example, we have successfully used a Road Kings board (11) in a Black Knight 2000 game (11B).
System 11A boards can be used for System 11 and 11A games.
System 11B boards can be used for Systems 11A, 11B, and 11C.

Correct, I have foreseen sound on WillFA11 but need to program and test the emulation for the soundboard.
But at the moment I work on integration of data East games with DMD. Tests looking good so far but a bit of HW modifikation is needed.
I will publish WillFA v0.92 which will support DMD games.

Once (almost) all SYS11C and DE games are tested I will try the sound emulation.

And last but not least Diag board for WillFA7

    Thanks!!!

Hi all, I am ordering a batch of fully assembled GOSOF (Gottlieb Soundboards) with 'LISY dev' DIY Altera Cyclone II boards made by JLCPCB. Does anyone else want one from this lot? If so DM. I am US based so it would only make sense for folks in North America.

I'd probably be down for at least one of each.

Hey folks - BallyFA MPU question:

Have any of you been successful selecting the "hacked" ROMs to run 7 digit scoring in games like 6M$M and Star Trek?

I have been able to get the later releases to work like, Harlem Globetrotters and Viking - but for some reason no joy with the aforementioned titles.

Similar issues with Free Play, but I just learned there is a DIP setting requirement along with at least a credit on the game for this hack to work.

    Thanks for any input.

Have a look to Appendix B of the BallyFA Manual https://lisy.dev/media/files/ballyfa_user-manual_v1.19.pdf
I copied all the descriptions from Okaegis roms here

    Freeplay:
if dip switch 17 = on and dip switch 18 = on and dip switch 19 = on
freeplay is enable: decrease credits not lower then 01

7digit is usually activated with dip21 = ON

Nice! Doing something for Zaccaria would be a welcome addition as there are people that need MPU boards. Lots were damaged by leaking batteries.

Theres a guy making them already. We put the mpu and sound board in Time machine and they work perfect.

    Hi all,

I have gotten my order of GOSOF boards in, programed all their FPGAs and gotten the amps and MP3 players. I tested them all in my The Amazing Spider-Man and I am happy to say they all work great.

I have a few extra boards sets with all parts and am willing to sell them basically at cost if folks are interested please PM me. I am based in the US so probably would not make sense for folks outside North America because of shipping.

bontango it looks like his log shows the rom being loaded, but it still errors out on the display. Any thoughts?
