I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet or not, but taking off the factory metal or plastic corner protectors and using this style of cabinet protector is probably not a good idea.
This type of cabinet protector has been know to mess up decals on games that have them and there are threads warning people against their use on games that have decals.
Using these protectors along with the factory corner protectors should be fine and people have stated that they install fine over the factory protectors and then stay away from the decals and don't cause damage that they normally do when used without the corner protectors.
I would think removing the factor corner protectors would be a big mistake in the long run.
