I made this thread to not shit up the IC thread with a bunch of photos.

Stern is yet to release an IC kit for Star Wars Premium / LE. The metal apron does not have a cutout like most of the other games out there. Most people get around this by putting the IC module in the DBA area. I can't do that as my DBA plate is filled with a DBA. The only other external option is the volume control blanking plate.

I started with a project box from allelectronics.com. I cut out a square for the IC and got it fit in there. Shit. It's too deep to fit the box. Unplugging the ribbon cable, removing it from under the bracket, then reattaching on the outside will leave just enough room to squish everything in there. The blanking plate for the volume control is a near-perfect mounting option. Drilled a hole in it and ran the wire through. Shit. Its JUST too short to attach since the box is sitting partly on the leg. I made a cutaway so that it will fit flush which also makes it so the module can't be rotated on the outside. Hooked everything up and it works like a champ! Come get on the leaderboard at COTU in Ashland, VA!
