Quoted from bbaker2824:Has anybody heard from Dr pinball recently. I placed an order a couple weeks back and haven't heard anything. Hoping everything is good. ..
I'm still waiting almost 2 weeks on a response.

I went ahead and picked up a SmartDMD board as I had all the other parts and wanted to play around. Communication on that side was pretty simple, I think it took about 7-10 days from initial contact to receipt of the board (including the 4th of July weekend).
So far so good. I have it currently attached to a Rocky & Bullwinkle for testing and playing around with. It only runs in 4-color mode for the Data East pins (I believe the DMD Extender is the same). Next up on the list is to plug it into the Demolition Man in and see how that works.
Quoted from Insane:Can you post a couple of Pics of this in your R&B? Would love to see how the install looks..
I don't have it installed, just connected to play around with it. The LCD is sitting on the pin next to R&B; I don't have it mounted in R&B. One of the things I am eventually thinking of doing is putting a small LCD in the right side of the apron and displaying the DMD displays there in addition to the installed DMD.
I'll see if I can easily mount it for a picture (I have a bracket for the LCD to mount, I just don't want to fuss with taking out the DMD in there just yet)... if not, I might just need to take pics of the LCD itself.
So I just looked, putting this in an R&B is going to be difficult due to the backglass hat trick animation. It looks like the bottom of the solenoids that fire up the hat trick animals (or the animals themselves) are positioned where the top of the LCD would be.
Quoted from Crash:We use an external 5A brick for our conversions and haven't had an issue
Is it possible to wire this up to turn on/off with the machine via the cabinet's switch?
Quoted from winteriscoming:That's how mine is with JP.
Can you post a picture when you get a chance? My R&B doesn't have a service outlet so I'd rather tap into power inside the machine versus trying to run a 2nd extension cord or plug in.
