I get major photo distortion when clicking on a picture to full size in the MACHINES FOR SALE threads... and also market ads... The new photo viewer doesn't seem to like desktop viewers anymore.. or is this just me? The thumbnails view at the proper aspect, but clicking on them stretches the image in all directions to fit whatever size I currently have my browser.

I am using Chrome Version 43.0.2357.81 m on Windows 7 Ultimate. I do not have any extensions or add-ons installed. No ad blockers or the like. This distortion also occurs on IE 11 installed on this computer. So, it must be something else installed that's interacting with the website code and causing it? Suggestions?

No problem with images on my Kubuntu machine, in either FireFox 32.0 or Chrome Version 37.0.2062.120 (64-bit)

Not all images are like this...I'm guessing it's either ones in landscape or ones that have been cropped and are then a non-standard aspect ratio.

On same setup as OP, Chrome/Win7-64 and it does the same thing on that X-men ad.

Aha...yes, with that same ad, I see the distortion too. Chrome/Kubuntu.

Correct its when images are a certain size (or rather NOT a certain size). The first image in that Xmen ad appears to load properly as it is more horizontal.

I've noticed the same thing on other ads as well.

Yup, seeing the same issue in some ad images. This PC has Chrome with winVista.

Robin, this is what I see when viewing your game room with Chrome

How is it that everything got so jacked around here all the sudden? Everything was fine a week ago.

Only 1 dude doing Dev, supply chain, and deployments; as well as product management (and bug/feature prioritization), supervising of the moderator team, and occasionally participating in the forum.

Sometimes the beta team helps before a major launch but after the launch mostly Robin releases directly to production after his own testing. And a couple of us try to help with bug triage but can't actually commit code, or do server side code review.

Add to that increasing users, increasing server stresses and code changes to help with scaling, and doing anything possible to keep outsourced costs under control, and you're looking at constant change. Even ignoring new features it is quite coming to keep a place like this going.
