How far would/have you travelled to pick up a pin?

    #2 6 years ago

Longest so far was 18 hours round trip for two. I say I'll drive 6 hours to get a TX-Sector but who knows.

    #3 6 years ago

Have travelled over 10,000km's in just under 2 years for a total of 12 machines. Not to mention the rest of the km's buying other toys.

    #4 6 years ago

I've done 650 miles round trip.

In Canada it doesn't pay to drive more than 500-600km. Transport from Halifax to Victoria is like $250. I've received a quote from Meyers to transport a pin from Hamilton to Ottawa for $35....yep read and weep $35 bucks from terminal to terminal.

I usually look in the 300 mile range. But if it was a grail pin, and a guarantee that I was going to buy it, I would drive probably 20 hours round trip. I kind of like road trips.

I have done 1k miles round trip. Indianapolis to Kansas City. Have family there so I took my father and we stayed a few days to visit. Also didn't hurt that it was a 700 dollar dead JP.

Typically I would top out at 600 miles round trip.

13 Hours each way. 5 1/2 hours each way. 4 Hours each way.

    #9 6 years ago

I did road trips for all my machines. First 3 - 600 miles. Last 4 machines purchased 1500, 900, 800, 350 miles. All round trips. I think sometimes I would drive almost anywhere. In the Northwest not many deals unless your willing to drive.

670 miles for about an 11 hour round trip. I love my Funhouse!

    #11 6 years ago

I drove 700 miles each way to get TAF. Lost my wallet on that trip to! But that's a whole other story.

    #12 6 years ago

I've done 8 hour round trip (4 each way) a couple of times.
Will do that again, assuming I have the time, but that's about my limit.

    #13 6 years ago

The longest was over 2000 miles round trip.

However, I cheated and caught a flight to the location.

    #14 6 years ago

near philly pa to flint michigan. figured i would do the drive across pa once anyway. those days are done.

    #15 6 years ago

My limit is about 6 hours one way. I like to do it all in one day and get home before midnight if possible.

Of course for the right pin and right deal I would probably stretch that.

6 hours each way. Only came up empty and not succumbing to auction fever.

16 hour round trip to St. Louis for a STTNG. Well worth it. that was a great pin. wish i still had it...

I'm in the 5 to 6 hours one way camp. That's pretty much my max. Any more than that and I figure the game will pop up near me at a price that's reasonable. While I don't mind driving for a deal, your time and gas counts when driving 10+ hours for a game.

    4 hours tomorrow morning.

    #21 6 years ago

    750 miles round trip.

    #22 6 years ago

Specifically for a game, most I've done about over 1,500 miles. If it's the right game, and you like road trips, it's worth it.

Drove 850 miles round trip and payed $0 for gas and got payed $200 for doing it. I'm a courier and I had a delivery to the city where the game I had bought was. After the drop I drove about 10 miles, bought my game and hauled it home in the company van. My boss even payed me an extra $200 for the out of state delivery.

1200 miles each way. Albany NY to St Louis. Didn't even end up buying it in the end. Finally settled on an almost perfect game (same title) in Dayton OH.
