Looking for instructions to build, or preferably, where to purchase a display output led adapter (or similar item) like the one in the instructions for using Leon's eprom on a system 11. It plug into 1J22 for bench testing.

    Thanks

You can purchase them simple enough and they work very good.

That is what I use, a lot cleaner than breadboards and wires.

They work on Sol outputs, Lamp Matrix outputs and BCD data output connectors.

I second the recommendation. Only issue is he's looking for a board to test display data. Hans' boards will hook up to the BCD connector but not the display data port for Sys11.

Yeah true, it will not hook up to the ribbon cable connector. Although that may be a nice project, hook the ribbon pins to a molex adapter.

Yes, I am looking to test the display output. I already have the siegecraft solenoid circuit tester you mention. Can that be done, hooking the ribbon pins to a molex adapter to check the display output?

I use a set of rottendog led displays. Got the Rollergames style, will run off the +5 on the CPU from a computer power supply. Just use the right format roms for your display.

Both that spun me around for a day or two once. Was testing a FIRE! mpu (System 11A) in my BBBB (System 11C) and the displays were all screwed up. Back to the bench, no probs, back to the machine, messed up, pulled out the scope everything looked good, rinse and repeat about 3 times before I /facepalmed it and realized what was wrong.
