Just came home with my first ever NIB. Medieval Madness remake. Got it setup, turned her on and nothing. Sometimes a flicker of a load screen. Sometimes a 'No Signal'. Once just a fuzzy static green screen. I have tried checking the connections and unplugged and plugged in the ethernet cable going into the board. Opened a ticket with Chicago Gaming but it's Saturday night so no idea when they may get back to me.

Feeling a little devastated at the moment. Any ideas?

LTG should be able to help you.

I tried swapping out the ethernet cable with another and same thing. Nothing visibly wrong with the machine. I can't be possible that it would leave the factory without testing the display? Hoping I am overlooking something.

Hi, I bought mine (LE) back in October 2015. Around December of the same year, the display started to disappear / reappear. On January, the display was not working anymore. Just like you, I tried to unplug and plug back everything but no success. I called my distributor, they opened a ticket and 2 weeks after, I received another display, another board + the wires. This way, I was able to test everything and send back the faulty part. In my case, it was the board and not the display. Works perfectly since that day!

I gave him a couple things to check and alerted his ticket to the engineers, who I suspect will be sending him some stuff.

LTG : )

Thanks. I anxiously await their call.

Should I be hearing any sounds or seeing any playfield lights if this is just a connection issue with he display?

It works! Support had me fiddle with the mini usb connector. Not sure exactly what I did but kind of shoved/bent in the connector and suddenly it came to life!

Now I just have to figure out how to get the HD Color chip to kick in. I have the 2.02 software but the color doesn't seem to take. @lgt, does this look like the proper chip? It looks different from what I have seen online.

That’s not like the color chip I had or have seen

Didn’t the chip have a hologram on it?

Yep

Smells fishy. I speculate your display problems were the result of you messing with a bootleg color display rig. The overly dramatic tone of your posts, a display problem, a bootleg chip..You lost me as soon as I read"no idea when they may get back to me" and you describing yourself as "feeling a little devastated at the moment". I hope you get your game going 100%, but I am sure glad I was not the distributor who sold it to you.

Installing the color under the pf should be a breeze now that you are checking existing connectors and chips. Legs can always be gently bent back to position.
Enjoy the game!

Did you buy the color chip? Software itself doesn’t provide color; you need to install the chip.

Thanks all. Sent photos to the Distributor and they are sending the color chip today. They sent the wrong one originally.
