Just got back from a trip to Disneyland and wanted to post pinball related findings.

The bad news, the Space Mountain Starcade (1st floor) is closed but tentatively scheduled to re-open March 1st. I was able to snap a photo in the closed off area and can still see Cyclone and Tron (Aurich reminded me that it is an LE).

The good news, Indy is back and is playing well. Last few visits it was nowhere to be found and cast members were not sure what was going on. Its been a few months since my last visit, so not sure when it was brought back, but it is a little dirty, so prolly awhile.

The Disney Paradise Pier hotel has a full arcade, but no pinball machines. I wasn't able to find an arcade at the other two Disney properties.

I've been thinking when I get an indy of doing it up similar to this one. is the lock down bar actually wood or simply made to look like wood?

Edit: pics look like it's actually wood

Either way a great looking machine (btw I hear they have two and rotate them)

Where is that Indy located within the parks/hotels?

Quoted from Caucasian2Step:

Where is that Indy located within the parks/hotels?

its directly across from the jungle cruise in the shop

Metal with wood covering.

Thanks, I seem to recall someone linking before to a dipping d cam transfer technique to apply wood grain finish to metal parts (the same process they use on guns for hunting and for some rims) so I knew that was a possibility though the pegs on the lockdown bar almost looked like it was possibly wood.

I'm curious, has noone actually done a one off indy similar to the disneyland one? Or made an alternate exterior simioar to the cool one off customs we see in the LE market now?

Also for those interested, the artwork on the side is from the indy ride. On the ride people are taking the "salas tour" and this is Sala's logo.

Planning a trip soon.... Does anyone know if the pins are still there?

Love that IJ, too. Hope it's still alive. Extra challenging too because you always have to elbow kids out of the way when they try squeeze in to push the buttons during your game.

during summer 2015, the IJ at disneyland didn't play well at all. 1 flipper was basically useless, game wasn't level, several targets didn't register. it was a mess & pretty upsetting to realize I even put money in it.

IJ is only pin on premise, that I could see when I visited before Thanksgiving. It played OK.
