I used to buy max pass every time for the added convenience so at first I wasn't concerned much. Then I read the small print about it not working for all rides and fees may be different for some rides. I immediately envisioned them charging more by tiers for the popular rides and nickel and diming me to death. Want a fast pass for Tower of Terror? Click here to be charged an additional $10.

Can't help but remind me of RL cash micro transactions ruining MMO's.

We're going to DL in October for the first time in 2 years. As Disneyland junkies and former AP holders, we're definitely concerned about the direction the new Disney leadership is taking the parks.

We're exited to go over the October 10th weekend. We haven't been since the day that SW land opened. Oddly enough we didn't go for that. It was a last minute trip for my daughters birthday because a teenagers answer to every question is always "I don't know" for some reason. The park was amazing since everyone was in queue for SW land. We got through all the rides in DL by 11 and went to lunch and to take a nap at the hotel. Came back at 4 and did all the rides over again by the time the fireworks started. Was able to do it even quicker at CA the next day.

I'm hoping this trip will be enjoyable as the wife has been driving me nuts to go back during the entire pandemic. As former annual pass holders and as she put's it, her pixy dust meter is the lowest it's ever been right now.

We're taking off tomorrow and going Saturday (DL), Sunday (CA & OBB), and Monday (DL). We usually go quite often (3-4 times per year) and even had annual passes at one time but it's been 2 years since we've been. Is there anything I need to be aware of or look out for given the current environment? Any secrets to landing the queues? Any other helpful insight from anyone as we prep for our trip?
