My sister read in either the LA Times or San Diego Union that Proof of immunization will be required and General Admission will be value priced at only $200.00 per person.

Occupancy will be kept low and as already mentioned, annual passes are being cancelled and refunded.

Quoted from Ericpinballfan:

Thanks for the pics. Ill pass on Florida.
Absolutely no social distancing of strangers from all over the USA.
Thats why Gov Newsome aint going to let Anaheim open anytime soon.

I'll take Florida right now as a great place to visit. Bars and restaurants open for business. I get to live my life as I choose to.

Just got back from a drive to Las Vegas. Only Michigan and Illinois were oppressed with no dining in restaurants. Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado (most Counties-all that I needed) Utah and Nevada were open for dine-in food and booze. I wore my mask beyond instructions (Some places only have "Masks Recommended" signage). I appear to have survived.

Literally one of the most baffling posts ever. Likening a scientifically proven vaccine to Santa Clause? Literally lol. And getting your mom one and not you? That seems logical to you, huh? She takes the “risk” (literally there is statistically virtually none, but anyway) and you benefit from your local herd immunity. Classic.
Anyway, I really do feel for you Californians and the lockdown you’ve faced. It’s terrible. But the only way your governor is going to allow reopening of the economy is if enough of you get vaccinated. So why not give up your pride and the fight for “freedom” and just get the vaccine and help get real freedom for California. Freedom in the form of reopening Disneyland (and the rest of the economy, of course)!
But really. Just get it. It’s a small, safe thing that can finally get life back to normal. Really. It’s safe. It’s free. It’s not a conspiracy. Republicans. Democrats. People of good science of all politics have worked on this tirelessly.
And now I’ll officially stop the vaccine talk on my end. Would totally be open to a rational discussion via dm if anyone has any real doubts about the vaccine. Goodnight all, here’s to a better year!

California Economy reopened today. Only restriction is no indoor dining. However, outdoor dining has resumed. No more eating on the curb or in your vehicle or taking food home.

Next thing you know there will be no more "Zip-a-Dee-Do-Dah" on Splash Mountain or "Take a Wench for a Bride" on Pirates of the Caribbean.
Oh wait....

I had no idea that "Zip-a-Dee-Do-Dah" was somehow racist or politically incorrect. True story: When Bally bought the two MGM Grand Hotels (Las Vegas and Reno) in 1986, they soon had a recording made that was played throughout the casinos that went: "Attention guests, we've just had another lucky jackpot winner in the casino, Zip-a-Dee-Do-Dah-Zip-a-Dee-Day at Bally's"!

And then there's the Zip-a-Do pinball machine by Bally. It predates the casinos by several years though.

In a bit of a "different" sort of Disney parks news...
Apparently disney has now been forced to add a warning sticker to the package for magic bands, warning people to NOT remove the chip from the band and implant it subdermally into their body.
And when I say they were forced, it's because somebody actually did this.

You know, when I fly to the East coast and rent a car, I sometimes forget my EZPass transponder. It sucks that I have to pay higher priced cash tolls. I dare not enter the rental car plate into my account as I did that once and immediately was charged $40.00 from other toll scofflaws that used the rental car before me. Maybe I can implant the transponder into an arm or something....

Quoted from Shredso:

I didn't realize EZ Pass worked in Florida. I'll have to remember to pack it.

Sorry for the confusion, EZPass only worked as far South as the CBBT on the Eastern Seaboard as far as I knew.

I see that the Sun Pass and EZPass systems are going to be integrated for the Orlando area Toll Roads and Florida's Turnpike soon.
