Thank God, and I agree. But isn't it slated to be changed to be more "racially sensitive" or some such BS?

I'd like to keep seeing them (just speaking for myself). I had to cancel my trip last year, and now I'm waiting until the pandemic is over to go back. So seeing stuff from the park is nice.

Love seeing them. 45 mins for Splash is actually pretty good. It's a great water ride, I never tire of it.
Don't forget to do the Country Bears - it's right where you are, no wait and an overlooked gem.
I give you props - I just surf pinside while I'm in line at WDW, I don't actually post!
Quoted from zr11990:The line for this is 45 minutes. That’s not bad but I don’t think I have ever waited very long for this one
[quoted image]
How close are the posted weight times vs reality? We are going in April. We typically plan our ride schedule with Fast Passes and never had to weight too long. I'm a bit concerned I'll be spending the entire trip in line now that Fast Passes are gone.
The last 45 minute wait was like 30. It is t bad. We are getting on pirates, I’ll let you know. If they would fill up a cart it would co faster but they only fill it halfway
When I was there at New Year's the waits were generally lower than posted. The lines look insanely long because of social distancing, but they move quick.

They're changing it to the Princess and the Frog, last I heard.

ETA:. I don't know when the changeover will start, but currently it's still open in original form.

I appreciate you posting updates and photos.
Thank you.
Helps me and others judge when and how to book our trips.
Tips for visiting the parks is a good point of this thread.
That guy snapping away pics inside a dark side.....sheesh
Though it looks like u have figured out how not to use your flash so you aren't the most annoying guy
I do appreciate the update though. Maybe just go easy on the
" in ride"photos.

I’m not using my flash. It’s turned off. That is why some of the pics are blurry. I’m an asshole but I’m not going to ruin someone else’s good time to take pics.
It looks like the lines are an average of 35 minutes or less

Going end of March trip tgat was cancelled last year I’m excited. That place never gets old but somehow I still do
I learned something today. You can bring your own food into the park. We saw some people having a picnic with sandwiches and stuff amd they told me. They let you bring it in. It’s a hassle to eat here now. Most restaurants are closed and you have to order online with a card and they call you when it’s ready and you pick it up and find somewhere to eat it.
Quoted from lancestorm:The policy is very clear on acceptable face coverings

I don’t organize trips my wife does. And hers something not in your rules. All kids 2 and up have to wear the mask. That is a hassle my grand daughter wants to go back to Leggo land where she doesn’t have to wear a mask
Quoted from EternitytoM83:[quoted image]
I don’t know what to say. The wife told me me I had to wear the mask. Other than that I was in the dark. I am sucking it up and trying to show everyone a good time. After that I don’t think my family will be back till after the mask order is lifted and it may well be that you have to show proof of the vaccine and my family and I refuses to take it so we all may have to stay in the house.

I'm sensing that you are frustrated with your experience. But you shouldn't take it out on Disney because they are trying to operate safely in the middle of a pandemic. My wife and I went in September, we did our homework and were fully aware of the safety measures in place, the changes to dining, we researched what would be open and what wouldn't. We ultimately decided that we were still going to go and we had a blast. Low wait times and we felt safe, it was a fantastic experience. Sorry you felt the trip was a hassle. But we are trying to recover from a global pandemic, things could always be worse.

They always have, at least for awhile. They also don't check bags anymore like they used to, I'm guessing their new scanners look for a certain type of metal based on what I saw.
Have fun! Feb is a great month down there....it gets crazy from here on out.

^ this. I've gone their twice during Covid times, and WDW knocked it out of the park. BTW, you probably don't want to visit the Disboards pages - they post pictures of "chins" on a regular basis and they get pissed if they see any face not covered.
Disney is doing what they need to and doing it well.
Quoted from zr11990:Does anyone remember going through the children’s room on Peter Pan? I don’t recall ever seeing it.

I know they added a bunch of stuff to that queue line a couple years back. Not sure if it was exactly that stuff or not. I think there's also a projection of Tinkerbell in there somewhere.
I've only seen it on YouTube because I've never actually gone through the normal line for that ride.

No wait on any lines in Magic Kingdom except for Snow White and the 7 dwarf mine train, a full 45min.
Hollywood studios, no wait times, did 90% of all rides and Star Wars.
Animal Kingdom, no wait. Avatar took only as long as the line que to walk.

Does anyone here have any old fastpass tickets that they want to sell? I've been collecting them for years (since they started using them) and there are a few here and there that I don't have (mainly because I didn't know there was one for that attraction). I think I have pretty much all of the FL/CA ones but I'm sure I am missing some from France/Hong Kong/Shanghai (I think I got all of the Japanese but again, who knows)

Cool collection! Made me remember the good(?) old days of sprinting to the FastPass machine of the most popular attraction as soon as they let us into the park.
I have a few stashed away from when we made reservations and ultimately didn't use them, but I'm sure you've got them all.
Paper fastpasses was the best system. You didn't have to book weeks in advance to get them online and people had to make an effort to obtain them in the morning. One runs out, the next becomes available. At least Disneyland still used this method (when I went last Feb) however the pass was only a reminder ... the actual ticket was electronic on your park pass (which got rid of handing out unused FPs)
Yeah, Disneyland's version is definitely more pleasant. Last time we were there (July 2019), we upgraded to MaxPass, which let you make same-day FastPasses in the app. And unlike WDW, there was actually availability for popular attractions. I think it's a problem of scale.
I do wonder if the WDW FastPass system won't get a massive re-think post-COVID.

Yeah, it was nice also because you could do some trading to make your plans a bit more flexible during the day and not miss out on fast pass rides. There were a few times when we had a fast pass that was in the time window for using it but the kids were hungry or needed a break, so I'd just head to where people were getting new fast passes for that ride (with times starting in an hour or two) and ask if anyone wanted to trade the ones they just got for some that they could use right away. Worked really well every time. The people who got my fast passes were happy get on the ride right away and we were happy to take a break and still have passes to use right away after that.
Thanks for the pictures and reports of the current state of WDW. We missed our trip last fall and want to return at some point. We enjoy the restaurants on property so we will definitely wait until those are open and we can make reservations. Some of the best things of our prior trips are the use of the fast pass system and extra magic hours. Without the return of those in some form, and the fact our kids are getting older, we may not be back until the grandchildren years. I don't know if we would ever choose to go without kids but I'd love to see the Star Wars and Tron areas.
Hope you enjoyed the pics. The grand daughter decided she wanted to go back to leggoland. She doesn’t have to wear a mask and we don’t have to wear one unless we are on a ride. She also likes the roller coasters

Don't wait...you only live once.
Most of the restaurants are open, and no idea when fast pass or extra magic hours will return, so I would enjoy it now.

What other parks do you have lined up?
For those that care Leggoland has almost no wait and you only have to wear masks on the rides. In fact no one has asked us to wear them at all. We put them on getting in line and take them off when we get off the ride.
In the pond of theme parks, Legoland is a guppy and Disney World is a whale shark. If Disney were less stringent about their COVID policies they wouldn't be open right now. Quit obsessing about masks and have some fun!

Interesting. I don’t think I’d feel safe without the masks.
Any lard asses walking around while chomping on a turkey leg or is that only a Disney thing?
There was barely any food at Disney, it was all closed and you had to be sitting to eat. Universal had lots of food but you had to be sitting to eat. Leggoland doesn’t care but there is t a lot of food. She wanted to come here because there was roller coasters and she didn’t have to wear a mask all day

Cool collection! Those were the good old days. Now everyone is on there phones not paying attention to where they're walking, surfing for fast pass times and bumping in to each other.
We are slated to go down in June as I put a deposit down last year. Totally bummed out over that supposed makeover of Splash Mountain.
